The secret behind great people

Have you ever wondered why fireflies glow? or how much does a cloud weigh? and why does the famous company apple have a bitten apple as it’s logo? who bit that?!?

Well today I’m gonna be writing about the driving force behind everything we know…

CURIOSITY.

For starters lemme give you some examples of very curious people:

Walt Disney

Albert Einstein

**
Isaac Newton

Did anyone notice a star beside Isaac newtons picture? That is, if you’re curious enough to notice it. The reason is: many sat under an apple tree, many watched an apple fall, but ONLY newton wondered ‘why?’

I can’t imagine if he were in KERELA and he’d be sitting under a coconut tree and if a coconut fell on his head..

LETS NOT GO TO DEEP ON THAT.๐Ÿ˜‚

So what is curiosity?

Curiosity is the desire to seek information for the pleasure of doing so, Not because your teacher asked you to find out something

Don’t worry most of us are kinda relatable, but we can always change it!

Now where does this ‘curiosity’ come from?

In our brain there is a small section known as the*‘Hippocampus’ (NOT HIPPOPOTAMUS)  and it has a huge role in learning and memory

Near it there is something else known as the *‘Dentate Gyrus’* (BIG words aren’t they, it’s okay you’ll get the hang of it) the dentate gyrus makes you think and it is the region where all of your sensory modalities merge together to form unique representations and memories of what your taught and THAT’S the reason why you remember the things you learned at school!

Okay so now you know what curiosity is and where it comes from, let me show you how to cultivate it (Nothing related to agriculture๐Ÿ˜™๐Ÿ˜œ)

 1. Always ask why? There are millions of Questions in everyday things, try to find the answers to them.

*TIP: carry a small ‘Field notebook’ with you and take it with you wherever you go, jot down questions in and you could always find them out later!

 2.  Choose a topic you’re curious about and research about it and GO DEEP, its a lot of fun trust me!

 3. Studies show that chimpanzees can be curious but unlike a child, they don’t seek explanations, so hangout with a child! you’ll hear loads of Qs from them, you might have not ever thought about.

Now why am I saying this,

Its because..

 * curiosity has a HUGE impact on learning, it makes it more fun and creative!

 * it leads to better understanding

 Curiosity =question =Answers =BETTER UNDERSTANDING!

* Acting on you’re curiosity can lead to great rewards

Albert Einstein once said:

"I have no special talents, I’m only passionately curious."

So if you want to be great…

Step 1: Be Curious
